The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through its Regional Agriculture Center (RAC), in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) โ Camarines Sur II, conducted a monitoring activity for the ARBO stingless beekeeping project and a Product Development Training on Bee Propolis Soap Making on April 30, 2026, in Salog, Goa, Camarines Sur.
Members and officers of the Visita de Salog Agrarian Beneficiaries Agriculture Cooperative (VDSABCO) participated in the activity, which combined technical assessment with skills training.
During the monitoring session, beneficiaries received updates and recommendations on colony management, hive expansion through proper division techniques, honey harvesting practices, and strategic placement of bee boxes to improve productivity and sustainability.
Participants also underwent practical training in producing bee propolis soap, noting the value-adding potential of bee by-products. The session equipped members with practical skills to develop additional income sources from their beekeeping operations.
The joint initiative underscores the continuing partnership of CBSUA and DAR in supporting agrarian reform beneficiaries through production support and enterprise development, helping strengthen the sustainability of ARBO-led livelihood projects.
