CBSUA, UnWAR SIGN MOU WITH BEEKEEPERS ASSOCIATION OF CAMARINES NORTE

With the goal to promote a more robust international relationship, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), Warmadewa University (UnWAR), and Beekeepers Association of Camarines Norte, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on February 7, 2023, at Labo Convention Center Hill Crest Subdivision, Labo, Camarines Norte.

Present during the MOU signing were Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, CBSUA Vice President for Research & Innovation, and the team of UnWAR spearheaded by Dr. Drs. Anak Agung Gede Oka Wisnumurti, M, Si, together with the President of Beekeepers Association Ms. Maria Cecilia Zabala-Pedir.

With the theme “Connect, Collaborate, & Co-Create: An Approach to Future-Proofing the Academe and Partner Communities through International Partnerships,” Hon. Severino H. Francisco, the Municipal Mayor of Labo, gave his message of support to the new partners. A pledge of commitment was done after the MOU signing. Moreover, with the objective of sharing the technology of Warmadewa University on Melitourism and Aloe Bignay Drink with members of the Association, Dr. Ir. I Gede Pasek Mangku, MP, and Dr. Ir. Luh Suriati, M.Si shared inputs on the lecture series on “Improving the Quality of Local Honey through GHP and GMP, and “Functional Drink of Aloe Bignay.”

Thereafter, the event ended with the team traveling to Baay, Labo, Camarines Norte, sharing products made from honeybees by Ms. Maria Cecilia Zabala-Pedir, the President of BACN.
