University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, Calabanga Campus Administrator, Dr. Cornelio Funtanar, and Motorpool In-charge Erick Aguimatang, joined the second quarter of the Linis Estero Activity as part of the โ€˜Adopt An Estero Programโ€™ spearheaded by the Resilience Center and the Environment Science Program last June 10, 2022.
The said program is a bigger project of the DENR – EMB on protecting and caring for bodies of water. According to the proponents, maintaining the health of the estero will ensure continuous water supply for the farmers, reduce of dengue incidence, and prevent flooding. The CBSUA – Camp Weene Martillana estero serves as the community of rice farmers in and around the CBSUA Main campus.
Dr. Talay, Prof. Siguenza, Prof. Posadas, and Prof. Villamor, student volunteers from College of Economics and Management, and Members of Agricultura Sandigan Eagles Club were also present and committed to sustaining the act.
