On July 12, 2022, TÜV-Rheinland, the auditing body in securing that ISO standards are met, recommends CBSUA to be awarded the ISO 14001:2015-EMS certificate after a conduct of an EMS special audit the day prior.

The auditing body commends the University for doing the following actions which shows its commitment for a better EMS: Rekindling the spirit on Prohibiting Single Use Plastic; Basic Hazardous Waste Handling Workshop for Non-Teaching personnel; and Tree Planting Activity-A tribute for Graduates of Pili Campus.

Moreover, recommendations and opportunities for improvement were given particularly on the following units/department sites: Compliance Obligation, Control on Outsource, Compliance Evaluation, Facility Tour, and Objectives.

The result was revealed a day after an EMS special audit through the Zoom platform which were participated by all VPs, campus administrators, pollution control officers, ISO coordinators, document controllers, directors, and deans.

The morning session started with an opening meeting initiated by Ms. Katrina Gepilano of the Quality Assurance Office. A review of the auditing guidelines was facilitated by Mr. Lionell Aala, the Lead Auditor.

The sessions then proceeded with the Zoom breakout rooms wherein the auditing process took place through live virtual tour of the facilities.
