The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gubat, Sorsogon, formally sealed a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the project “Boosting Vetiver Grass Technology, Oil, and Handicraft Production” on January 27, 2026, at the CBSUA Farmers’ Training Hall.

The MOA signing was witnessed by key officials from both institutions, including CBSUA officials Dr. Dariel Palmiano, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Development; Ms. Abigail Guinoo, MSc, RAgr, Director of the Extension Services Division; Dr. Allan Del Rosario, Campus Administrator; Dr. Fortunato Balbis Jr., Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; and Dr. Melchora Abonal, Director of the Vetiver Center. Also present were LGU Gubat officials Ms. Paulene Esller, RAgr, Municipal Agriculturist; Hon.
