ESS CONCLUDES “PULOT-KALAT PARA KI INA” WITH SUCCESSFUL TWO-DAY CLEAN-UP DRIVE

The Environmental Science Society (ESS) successfully conducted its first-ever off-campus activity, “Pulot-Kalat para ki Ina,” on September 19–20, 2025, bringing together students, faculty members, and partner organizations in a shared effort to promote environmental stewardship during the Peñafrancia festivities.

On Day 1, volunteers cleaned Panganiban Drive, collecting numerous bags of waste and helping maintain a cleaner and healthier environment. Participants who arrived early were also recognized and rewarded for their enthusiasm and commitment.

On Day 2, following the departure of Ina and Divino Rostro, volunteers once again gathered to clean the celebration grounds and collect litter left behind by the festivities. The activity marked the successful conclusion of the clean-up drive, made possible through the dedication of ESS officers, BSES faculty, SBS, and CAS-SC Pili.

The success of the initiative reflected the strong collaboration among CAS-SC, SBS Officers, UEMO, BSES Faculty, and SWMO Naga. ESS also extends its sincere appreciation to ES alumnus Emmanuel V. Dematera for his unwavering support.

Through collective action, the activity not only helped preserve the cleanliness of the community but also strengthened the commitment of participants to honor and protect the environment while celebrating the traditions of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia.
