The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) formalized their partnership for the Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT) program through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on August 11, 2026, at Royale Emelina, Naga City.
The agreement provides opportunities for both institutions to collaborate in instruction, research, extension, innovation, and other academic activities for the BSFT program.
Under the partnership, CBSUA and BISCAST may undertake faculty exchange and adjunct faculty engagement, share laboratory and research facilities, conduct collaborative research, facilitate student mobility, and pursue other academic and scientific activities.
The MOA was signed by CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi and BISCAST President Dr. Charlie P. Nacario.
Witnessing the signing for CBSUA were Dr. Melinda Parro-Pan, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Glaiza J. Visitacion, Dean of the College of Engineering and Food Science; and Asst. Prof. Alessandra D. Bautista, BSFT Program Chairperson.
Representing BISCAST were Dr. Apolonia C. Sebello, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Amante T. Ama, Dean of the College of Science; and Asst. Prof. Julie Amor D. Zantua, BSFT Program Chairperson.
